Happy Birthday to the B-17 Flying Fortress
July 28 was the birthday of one of World War Two's greatest planes, the Boeing B-17 'Flying Fortress'. Its maiden flight was July 28, 1935.
Without this venerable aircraft, the war just may have been lost.
A tip of the hat to this gallant lady.
